STANDING ORDER

To

All Tahsildars,

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form 5 to the Tahsildar within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Tahsildar shall ensure that register of holdings is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tahsildar within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
