OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Dealing in military stores by dealers in military stores under the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which dealing in military stores by dealers in military stores is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in military stores carrying on dealing in military stores shall make an application in Form C to the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which dealing in military stores is undertaken, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra.
