OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The keeping of animals by keepers of animals within the municipal limits under the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1972, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information Technology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the keeping of animals by keepers of animals within the municipal limits is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1972.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of animals within the municipal limits carrying on the keeping of animals shall make an application in Form G to the Development Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of animals is undertaken, and the Development Authority shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
