STANDING ORDER

To

All Provost Marshals,

Subject: Dealing in military stores by dealers in military stores under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986 (Uttar Pradesh Act 7 of 1986), the Ports Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to dealing in military stores by dealers in military stores.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in military stores carrying on dealing in military stores shall make an application in Form F to the Defence Estates Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Provost Marshal shall ensure that register of contractors is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Defence Estates Officer within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
