OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The discharge of effluent into a stream by person discharging effluent into a streams under the Delhi Jal Board Act, 1998, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Urban Development Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the discharge of effluent into a stream by person discharging effluent into a streams is to be regulated under the Delhi Jal Board Act, 1998.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person discharging effluent into a stream carrying on the discharge of effluent into a stream shall make an application in Form D to the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the discharge of effluent into a stream is undertaken, and the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
