STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputies Commissioner of Excise,

Subject: The tapping of toddy by toddy tappers under the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968 (Andhra Pradesh Act 17 of 1968), the Ports Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the tapping of toddy by toddy tappers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall make an application in Form F to the Licensing Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that excise seal is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Licensing Authority within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
