STANDING ORDER

To

All Station Staff Officers,

Subject: The execution of defence works by contractors for defence works under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders... Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders... Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982), the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the execution of defence works by contractors for defence works.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for defence works carrying on the execution of defence works shall make an application in Form A to the Government of Tamil Nadu within three days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Station Staff Officer shall ensure that identity card is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Tamil Nadu within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
