OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Attendance before a commission by persons summoned by a commission under the Karnataka Lokayukta Act, 1985, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which attendance before a commission by persons summoned by a commission is to be regulated under the Karnataka Lokayukta Act, 1985.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person summoned by a commission carrying on attendance before a commission shall make an application in Form C to the Competent Authority within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which attendance before a commission is undertaken, and the Competent Authority shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka.
