STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputies Commissioner of Excise,

Subject: The keeping of a bonded warehouse by bonded warehouse keepers under the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 (Punjab Act 1 of 1914), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of a bonded warehouse by bonded warehouse keepers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bonded warehouse keeper carrying on the keeping of a bonded warehouse shall make an application in Form A to the Excise Appellate Authority within ten days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that sample is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Excise Appellate Authority within ten days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Punjab.
