STANDING ORDER

To

All Garrison Engineers,

Subject: The use of land for manoeuvres by occupiers of land used for manoeuvres under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986 (Uttar Pradesh Act 7 of 1986), the Energy Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of land for manoeuvres by occupiers of land used for manoeuvres.

2. The matter has been examined. Every occupier of land used for manoeuvres carrying on the use of land for manoeuvres shall make an application in Form D to the Station Commander within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Garrison Engineer shall ensure that notice of manoeuvres is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Station Commander within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
