STANDING ORDER
To
All Village Accountants,
Subject: The holding of an inam by inamdars under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964 (Goa Act 7 of 1964), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of an inam by inamdars.
2. The matter has been examined. Every inamdar carrying on the holding of an inam shall make an application in Form 2 to the State Government within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.
3. The Village Accountant shall ensure that parcel of land is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Government within one hundred and eighty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa.
