OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Street vending by street vendors under the Kerala Municipality Act, 1994, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Urban Development Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which street vending by street vendors is to be regulated under the Kerala Municipality Act, 1994.

2. The matter has been examined. Every street vendor carrying on street vending shall make an application in Form G to the Standing Committee within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which street vending is undertaken, and the Standing Committee shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Kerala.
