STANDING ORDER

To

All Housing Commissioners,

Subject: The management of common areas by associations of allottees under the Karnataka Slum Areas (Improvement and Clearance) Act, 1973, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Slum Areas (Improvement and Clearance) Act, 1973 (Karnataka Act 33 of 1973), the Housing Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of common areas by associations of allottees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every association of allottees carrying on the management of common areas shall make an application in Form E to the Competent Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Housing Commissioner shall ensure that register of projects is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Competent Authority within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Karnataka.
