OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The plying of a vehicle within a cantonment by owners of a vehicle within a cantonment under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders... Act, 1982, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the plying of a vehicle within a cantonment by owners of a vehicle within a cantonment is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders... Act, 1982.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a vehicle within a cantonment carrying on the plying of a vehicle within a cantonment shall make an application in Form B to the Station Commander within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the plying of a vehicle within a cantonment is undertaken, and the Station Commander shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
