STANDING ORDER

All Municipal Commissioners,

Subject: The running of licensed premises by licensees under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1976), the Urban Development Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of licensed premises by licensees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee carrying on the running of licensed premises shall make an application in Form H to the Director of Municipal Administration within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Municipal Commissioner shall ensure that sanitary certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Municipal Administration within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Gujarat.
