OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sub-letting of premises by sub-tenants under the Maharashtra Apartment Ownership Act, 1970, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the sub-letting of premises by sub-tenants is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Apartment Ownership Act, 1970.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sub-tenant carrying on the sub-letting of premises shall make an application in Form G to the Housing Board within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sub-letting of premises is undertaken, and the Housing Board shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
