STANDING ORDER

To

All Rehabilitation Officers,

Subject: The practice of a rehabilitation profession by rehabilitation professionals under the Karnataka Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats in Educational Institutions and of Appointments or Posts) Act, 2018, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats in Educational Institutions and of Appointments or Posts) Act, 2018 (Karnataka Act 2 of 2018), the Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the practice of a rehabilitation profession by rehabilitation professionals.

2. The matter has been examined. Every rehabilitation professional carrying on the practice of a rehabilitation profession shall make an application in Form II to the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Rehabilitation Officer shall ensure that grievance is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka.
