OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a diesel generator set by owners of a diesel generator set under the Tamil Nadu Forest Act, 1882, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the operation of a diesel generator set by owners of a diesel generator set is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Forest Act, 1882.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a diesel generator set carrying on the operation of a diesel generator set shall make an application in Form II to the Environmental Appellate Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a diesel generator set is undertaken, and the Environmental Appellate Authority shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
