STANDING ORDER

To

All Fire Officers,

Subject: The storage of inflammable goods by owners of a warehouse of inflammable goods under the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962 (Kerala Act 20 of 1962), the Transport Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the storage of inflammable goods by owners of a warehouse of inflammable goods.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a warehouse of inflammable goods carrying on the storage of inflammable goods shall make an application in Form E to the Civil Defence Controller within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Fire Officer shall ensure that incident report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Civil Defence Controller within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Kerala.
