STANDING ORDER

To

All Emergency Officers,

Subject: The storage of inflammable goods by owners of a warehouse of inflammable goods under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 20 of 2003), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the storage of inflammable goods by owners of a warehouse of inflammable goods.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a warehouse of inflammable goods carrying on the storage of inflammable goods shall make an application in Form H to the State Executive Committee within three days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Emergency Officer shall ensure that no-objection certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Executive Committee within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Gujarat.
