OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Service as a civil defence volunteer by civil defence volunteers under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which service as a civil defence volunteer by civil defence volunteers is to be regulated under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every civil defence volunteer carrying on service as a civil defence volunteer shall make an application in Form G to the Relief Commissioner within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which service as a civil defence volunteer is undertaken, and the Relief Commissioner shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Gujarat.
