STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Inspectors,

Subject: The working of a distillery by distillers under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915 (Madhya Pradesh Act 2 of 1915), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a distillery by distillers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distiller carrying on the working of a distillery shall make an application in Form D to the Government of Madhya Pradesh within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Inspector shall ensure that consignment is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Madhya Pradesh within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
