OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sale of liquor for consumption on the premises by bar licensees under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Labour Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the sale of liquor for consumption on the premises by bar licensees is to be regulated under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bar licensee carrying on the sale of liquor for consumption on the premises shall make an application in Form E to the District Excise Officer within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of liquor for consumption on the premises is undertaken, and the District Excise Officer shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
