STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars,

Subject: The publication of official notices by publishers of an official notice under the Maharashtra Official Languages Act, 1965, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Official Languages Act, 1965 (Maharashtra Act 5 of 1965), the General Administration Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the publication of official notices by publishers of an official notice.

2. The matter has been examined. Every publisher of an official notice carrying on the publication of official notices shall make an application in Form E to the Review Committee within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Registrar shall ensure that return is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Review Committee within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Maharashtra.
