STANDING ORDER

To

All Maintenance Officers,

Subject: The management of joint family property by managers of a joint family property under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024 (Uttarakhand Act 3 of 2024), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Uttarakhand hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of joint family property by managers of a joint family property.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manager of a joint family property carrying on the management of joint family property shall make an application in Form IV to the Government of Uttarakhand within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Maintenance Officer shall ensure that will is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Uttarakhand within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
