STANDING ORDER

To

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling under the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 2020, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 2020 (Telangana Act 9 of 2020), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Telangana hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land in excess of the ceiling carrying on the holding of land in excess of the ceiling shall make an application in Form 7 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that record of rights is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Telangana.
