STANDING ORDER
To
All Regionals Officer of the Board,
Subject: The exhibition of films by exhibitors under the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 23 of 1964), the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the exhibition of films by exhibitors.
2. The matter has been examined. Every exhibitor carrying on the exhibition of films shall make an application in Form III to the Registering Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. The Regional Officer of the Board shall ensure that programme is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registering Authority within sixty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka.
