STANDING ORDER

To

All Child Welfare Officers,

Subject: The care of children in an institution by child care institutions under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024 (Uttarakhand Act 3 of 2024), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Uttarakhand hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the care of children in an institution by child care institutions.

2. The matter has been examined. Every child care institution carrying on the care of children in an institution shall make an application in Form VI to the Maintenance Tribunal within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Child Welfare Officer shall ensure that register of deaths is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Maintenance Tribunal within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
