OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The management of a waqf by mutawallis under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Uttarakhand on the manner in which the management of a waqf by mutawallis is to be regulated under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mutawalli carrying on the management of a waqf shall make an application in Form III to the Maintenance Tribunal within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of a waqf is undertaken, and the Maintenance Tribunal shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
