OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The display of hoardings by owners of a hoarding under the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the display of hoardings by owners of a hoarding is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hoarding carrying on the display of hoardings shall make an application in Form VII to the Registering Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the display of hoardings is undertaken, and the Registering Authority shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
