STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspectors of Endowments,

Subject: The conduct of a religious fair by contractors for a religious fair under the Uttar Pradesh Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Act, 1983, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Act, 1983 (Uttar Pradesh Act 29 of 1983), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the conduct of a religious fair by contractors for a religious fair.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for a religious fair carrying on the conduct of a religious fair shall make an application in Form B to the Endowments Tribunal within three hundred and sixty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Inspector of Endowments shall ensure that inventory of jewels is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Endowments Tribunal within three hundred and sixty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
