STANDING ORDER

To

All Circle Officers,

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the Information Technology Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form 1 to the Board of Revenue within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Circle Officer shall ensure that parcel of land is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
