STANDING ORDER

To

All Sub-Registrars,

Subject: The registration of instruments by registering officers under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999 (Rajasthan Act 14 of 1999), the General Administration Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the registration of instruments by registering officers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every registering officer carrying on the registration of instruments shall make an application in Form A to the Chief Controlling Revenue Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Sub-Registrar shall ensure that stamp paper is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Chief Controlling Revenue Authority within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Rajasthan.
