STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistant Press Registrars,

Subject: The provision of direct-to-home broadcasting services by direct-to-home operators under the Andhra Pradesh Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1955, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1955 (Andhra Pradesh Act 4 of 1955), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the provision of direct-to-home broadcasting services by direct-to-home operators.

2. The matter has been examined. Every direct-to-home operator carrying on the provision of direct-to-home broadcasting services shall make an application in Form VIII to the Press Registrar within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Press Registrar shall ensure that advertisement is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Press Registrar within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
