OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of a cyber cafe by cyber cafe operators under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Online Gambling and Regulation of Online Games Act, 2022, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the running of a cyber cafe by cyber cafe operators is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Online Gambling and Regulation of Online Games Act, 2022.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cyber cafe operator carrying on the running of a cyber cafe shall make an application in Form F to the Unique Identification Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a cyber cafe is undertaken, and the Unique Identification Authority shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
