STANDING ORDER

To

All Fire Officers,

Subject: The safety of a school building by owners of a school building under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005 (Uttar Pradesh Act 9 of 2005), the Ports Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the safety of a school building by owners of a school building.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a school building carrying on the safety of a school building shall make an application in Form H to the Director of Fire Services within three days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Fire Officer shall ensure that stock is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Fire Services within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
