STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Collectors,

Subject: The construction of buildings in a vulnerable area by owners of a building in a vulnerable area under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 20 of 2003), the Information Technology Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the construction of buildings in a vulnerable area by owners of a building in a vulnerable area.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building in a vulnerable area carrying on the construction of buildings in a vulnerable area shall make an application in Form H to the State Executive Committee within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Collector shall ensure that warning is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Executive Committee within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Gujarat.
