OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The cultivation of land by farmers under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Transport Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the cultivation of land by farmers is to be regulated under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969.

2. The matter has been examined. Every farmer carrying on the cultivation of land shall make an application in Form B to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of land is undertaken, and the Registrar of Co-operative Societies shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Kerala.
