STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Tahsildars,

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 2020, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 2020 (Telangana Act 9 of 2020), the Law Department, Government of Telangana hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form 3 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that patta is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Telangana.
