OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The generation of hazardous waste by generators of hazardous waste under the Tamil Nadu Forest Act, 1882, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the generation of hazardous waste by generators of hazardous waste is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Forest Act, 1882.

2. The matter has been examined. Every generator of hazardous waste carrying on the generation of hazardous waste shall make an application in Form VI to the Chief Wild Life Warden within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the generation of hazardous waste is undertaken, and the Chief Wild Life Warden shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
