STANDING ORDER
To
All Conciliation Officers,
Subject: The keeping of a shop by keepers of a shop under the Bombay Industrial Relations Act, 1946, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bombay Industrial Relations Act, 1946 (Maharashtra Act 11 of 1946), the Labour Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of a shop by keepers of a shop.
2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a shop carrying on the keeping of a shop shall make an application in Form I to the Chief Inspector of Factories within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. The Conciliation Officer shall ensure that wage slip is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Chief Inspector of Factories within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Maharashtra.
