OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Service as a civil defence volunteer by civil defence volunteers under the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2009, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which service as a civil defence volunteer by civil defence volunteers is to be regulated under the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2009.

2. The matter has been examined. Every civil defence volunteer carrying on service as a civil defence volunteer shall make an application in Form F to the Director of Fire Services within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which service as a civil defence volunteer is undertaken, and the Director of Fire Services shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
