OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The manufacture of denatured spirit by manufacturers of denatured spirit under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Bihar on the manner in which the manufacture of denatured spirit by manufacturers of denatured spirit is to be regulated under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer of denatured spirit carrying on the manufacture of denatured spirit shall make an application in Form A to the Excise Appellate Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the manufacture of denatured spirit is undertaken, and the Excise Appellate Authority shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Bihar.
