OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The treatment of sewage by operators of a sewage treatment plant under the Delhi Jal Board Act, 1998, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the treatment of sewage by operators of a sewage treatment plant is to be regulated under the Delhi Jal Board Act, 1998.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a sewage treatment plant carrying on the treatment of sewage shall make an application in Form F to the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the treatment of sewage is undertaken, and the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
