OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The administration of a family settlement by trustees of a family settlement under the Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act, 1997, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the administration of a family settlement by trustees of a family settlement is to be regulated under the Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act, 1997.

2. The matter has been examined. Every trustee of a family settlement carrying on the administration of a family settlement shall make an application in Form IV to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the administration of a family settlement is undertaken, and the Central Adoption Resource Authority shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Karnataka.
