New Delhi, dated the 22nd January, 2021

STANDING ORDER

To

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the Tourism Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form 2 to the Land Tribunal within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that demand notice is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Land Tribunal within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
