STANDING ORDER
To
All Superintendents of Stamps,
Subject: The franking of instruments by franking machine licensees under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999 (Rajasthan Act 14 of 1999), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the franking of instruments by franking machine licensees.
2. The matter has been examined. Every franking machine licensee carrying on the franking of instruments shall make an application in Form D to the Superintendent of Stamps within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. The Superintendent of Stamps shall ensure that adhesive stamp is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Superintendent of Stamps within seven days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Rajasthan.
