STANDING ORDER

To

All Export Inspectors,

Subject: The clearance of goods for import or export by customs house agents under the Tamil Nadu Special Economic Zones (Special Provisions) Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Special Economic Zones (Special Provisions) Act, 2005 (Tamil Nadu Act 18 of 2005), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the clearance of goods for import or export by customs house agents.

2. The matter has been examined. Every customs house agent carrying on the clearance of goods for import or export shall make an application in Form ANF-1 to the Government of Tamil Nadu within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Export Inspector shall ensure that letter of permission is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Tamil Nadu within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
