STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistant Charity Commissioners,

Subject: The administration of a temple by executives officer of a temple under the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013 (Maharashtra Act 30 of 2013), the Revenue Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the administration of a temple by executives officer of a temple.

2. The matter has been examined. Every executive officer of a temple carrying on the administration of a temple shall make an application in Form F to the Registrar of Societies within three hundred and sixty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Charity Commissioner shall ensure that account is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Societies within three hundred and sixty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Maharashtra.
