STANDING ORDER

To

All Sub-Inspectors of Excise,

Subject: The manufacture of denatured spirit by manufacturers of denatured spirit under the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910 (Uttar Pradesh Act 4 of 1910), the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the manufacture of denatured spirit by manufacturers of denatured spirit.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer of denatured spirit carrying on the manufacture of denatured spirit shall make an application in Form H to the Licensing Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. The Sub-Inspector of Excise shall ensure that excise seal is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Licensing Authority within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
